Decision	both a user and system object to keep track of decisions
Group	definition which evaluates to a set of users
K-attribute	attribute of a knowledge object; has a type (primitive or pointer), a constraint and a value
K-class	knowledge class: A pattern (definition) which all instances of the object must fulfil; basically a list of attributes
K-inheritance	parent-child relation between knowledge objects; amounts to subset relation between sets of attributes
K-instance	a set of data fitting in the pattern defined by the corresponding k-class and representing a concrete entity
K-object	class definition and/or instance
K-relation	a relation between knowledge objects
K-relation class	definition of a binary relation between k-objects
K-relation instance	instance of k-relation
Membership	user and system k-relation relating a user to a group, if he/she is a member
Node	A machine running a database accessible via a storage server through the server-storage interface
Time coordinate	provides a time specification for its corresponding knowledge item
Topic coordinate	topics serve a means of free classification of knowledge
User	the (deficient) image of a person within the software
